Social has a privacy policy in order to demonstrate our firm commitment
to your confidentiality.
1. Data Collection
The participant must be at least nineteen years
old to register or attend Urban Social events.
Persons under nineteen years of age are not eligible
to use our services. We ask that persons under the age of nineteen
years old not submit information to us.
At Urban Social we ask you to provide certain information
to us such as your first and last name, gender, age and e-mail address.
This is used for registration purposes and will only be used by
Urban Social authorized personnel for internal use.
The purpose of Urban Social events is to get to
know other people. In order to facilitate this, Urban Social has
one type of "match" at our events. This occurs when two
participants have unlocked a padlock with their lock and key. Urban
Social are not responsible if a participant does not receive any
matches during the course of an event.
If you send a question to our "Flirt Column"
we will only display such information about you as you choose to
reveal, such as your first name and city. We will confirm with you
if your question is posted on our website. If you send us personal
correspondence, such as e-mails or letters, we may collect and retain
such information in a file which is only accessed by authorized
personnel.
Customer service surveys may be sent out (via e-mail)
to Urban Social participants from time to time. This is to ensure
quality of our events and we are meeting your expectations. These
surveys are entirely voluntary. The information collected is for
Urban Social authorized use only and will not be used externally
in any way.
Payment through PayPal: When registering for an
Urban Social event you have the option of using the secure PayPal
payment system. For more information please visit: www.paypal.com.
We will have information about you such as your User ID, e-mail
address and other contact or shipping information. This personal
information will not be used for any other purposes except for confirmation
of payment. We will not rent, sell any of this information to any
third party for any reason.
2. Automatic Collection of Information
We do not use cookies on our Web site.
3. Disclosure of Information
We do not disclose your personal data to any third
party or any other organization. We do not sell or rent any personally
identifiable information about you to any third party without your
permission.
4. Use of Information
We also send periodic informational updates to
our participants via e-mail.
5. Modification of Information
Urban Social participants may modify or delete
their information from our database by sending us an e-mail with
the words "remove" in the subject line. Please send such
an e-mail to team@urbansocial.ca
6. Notification of Changes to Privacy Policy
If we are going to use your personally identifiable
information in a manner different from that stated at the time of
collection, we will post a notice on our site. You will have a choice
as to whether or not we use your information in this separate manner.
In some cases where we post the notice we will also email users,
who have opted to receive communications from us, notifying them
of the changes in our privacy practices.
